Effective 27 August 2026. Paper Trail is a local file viewer provided “as is.” Keep an independent copy of every source archive and verify exports before relying on them for legal, compliance, or records work.

License

The free tier includes viewing, search, attachment downloads, CSV index export, and EML ZIP export for up to 1,000 selected messages. A $19 USD one-time purchase licenses unlimited bulk EML ZIP export for one person across their devices. Accessibility, privacy, and safety features are never gated.

Purchases and refunds

Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record. The checkout page shows the current price before purchase. Refund requests are handled there; a refunded or revoked license stops unlocking paid features. A purchase does not include storage, recovery services, or a guarantee that every malformed MIME message can be decoded.

Acceptable use

Use the viewer only with archives you are authorized to access. You are responsible for exported personal data and its secure handling. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the license. Contact: support@sociobot.in.
